Bone Dectectives

We've move to the bone dectectives station and we're observing animal skulls, trying to identify the animal. Then, we're trying to decide whether the animal is an omnivore, carnivore, or herbivore, and how we made that determination. 

We also learned how all of these bones are cleaned, GROSS!  Nothing like watching a little Dirty Jobs video about cleaning skulls before lunch.  The kids loved it and the adults were a little iffy.  I think we'll all think twice when we see a skull now.  :)
